First of all, we are specifically looking for members of the Church of Christ to be the family for sweet little Eileen. But this is an international adoption, and her country of origin has additional qualifications that must be met:
- Married couples only may apply.
- No more than 45 years between at least one parent and child (one older parent OK, younger parent must have income of their own).
- No stated family size restrictions.
- Total with travel approx $25k.
- Both parents travel to Eileen's country for 2 1/2 weeks to attend court.
- Both parents return home for 3 weeks.
- Only one must return to complete the adoption for approximately 14 days.
- No history of mental health conditions or infectious diseases.
- This is a very fast program! Start to finish is an average of 7 months.
